One continuous file

Nothing important should live between systems.

FixMyLaw follows the real lifecycle of a legal matter, so the next action always has the client, context, owner, and financial record beside it.

01

Welcome the client

Capture intake details, run a clear conflict-check process, and open a complete client record.

02

Open the matter

Choose the team, establish co-leads, set access, and keep every decision attached to the file.

03

Do the work

Coordinate tasks, deadlines, notes, documents, communication, and time from one workspace.

04

Close the loop

Turn approved time into invoices, accept payment, and give clients a useful view of progress.

See the product

Built around the matter. Not the menu.

Move from the firm view to the exact file, task, client message, or invoice that needs attention without rebuilding context.

FixMyLaw matter workspace overview

Designed to meet you where you are

Useful on day one. Capable for what comes next.

Clear enough for a first clinic file, structured enough for a growing practice, and focused enough for a lawyer working alone.

Independent practice

Run the practice without the operational drag.

See matters, deadlines, clients, time, and collections without assembling a patchwork of tools.

Small firms

Know who owns the next move.

Assign co-leads and supporting staff, protect restricted matters, and keep handoffs visible.

Law students

Learn the shape of modern legal work.

Understand how intake, matter planning, document control, timekeeping, and client service connect.

A tested foundation for a working firm.
570backend checks passing
165interface tests passing
36browser workflows passing

Practice with confidence

Serious controls. Plain-language experience.

Firm isolation, restricted matters, explicit team capabilities, archived legal records, and client-safe views are designed into the workflow.

Client-safe

Private firm work stays private.

Internal notes, draft invoices, restricted files, and staff-only activity never leak into the portal.

Matter access

Responsibility without ambiguity.

Co-leads, supporting roles, team membership, and capabilities make ownership explicit.

Durable records

Archive first. Audit throughout.

Legal records preserve history, while important actions create traceable operational events.

Questions, answered

A clearer way to evaluate your next system.

Is FixMyLaw a CRM or case management system?

It is both. Client relationships, intake, communication preferences, and contact history connect directly to matters, tasks, documents, deadlines, billing, and the client portal.

Can a matter have more than one lead lawyer?

Yes. Matters can have multiple co-leads with supporting lawyers and staff. Restricted matters can be limited to owners, administrators, and explicitly added participants.

What can clients see?

Clients use a separate portal that shows only approved matter status, shared documents, visible deadlines, issued invoices, secure conversations, appointment requests, and their own preferences.

Will it work for a solo practice?

Yes. The interface is designed to be useful with one lawyer and to continue making sense as a firm adds staff, teams, more matters, and formal review workflows.

Spend less time managing the practice. More time practising law.
